Braille day at the Early Childhood Center in Zeeland

 Michelle Cameron an orientation and mobility specialist from the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, right, helps guide Zeeland Early Childhood Center student Juliana Hoogland, 6 left.

Zeeland Early Childhood Center student Morgan Krueger learns the basics of braille using tack-tiles the class had a braille awareness day so they could experience the same teaching techniques used by their blind classmate Juliana Hoogland.

The students at the Early Childhood Center in Zeeland use tack-tiles to experience how their classmate Juliana Hoogland learns every day.

Rainy Day

Corn on the Barby

Corn is cooked over an open flame at the Green Well Gastropub, restaurant will be featuring three course meals during restaurant week.

I have tried to cook corn over an open fire before, and my attempts were not as successful as the way the Greenwell restaurant cooks theirs.  The key; soak in water for five minutes before cooking.
